Pros

You get to see buildings go up from bare dirt to finish product being a part of every step. You learn alot gaining expierience in everythign as Bear has a hand in every single part of it with little outsourceing. Great people own the company named it after thier father, a good story, and great people work alongside you. Nobody was ever demeaning or overbearing, everyone would rather help you learn and teach rather than look down on you and critisize you for not knowing something. the pay is excellent, very compettitive. great benifits are available also. many many percs. time and a half and double time on sundays and your birthday! not many companies do that. overtimes available and plentiful... also optional. All around great construction company.

Cons

Hard work in all weather can sometimes grow annoying. you will aquire callices where you didnt know you could. long hours.. at the end of the day you are ready for a well deserved rest. thats all you end up doing is working, comeing home to a few beers and knocking out. not much room for a social life. but financial rewards are great. no time to spend your money... ha.

Advice to Management

your doing great! be open to rehire past employees like me and understand that sometimes life brings unexpected hardships.

    Pros

Great work environment. Fantastic crew members. Safety is constantly being enforced. Any interaction from upper management to entry level employees, almost everyone keeps the work free flowing. Rarely are there jobs that overload an employee's capabilities.

    Cons

Newer (younger) management tends to err on the side of inexperienced, while still demanding jobs to be done specifically to their tastes. Occasionally employees will not have the tools necessary to operate properly. Newer management has put an onus on the time it takes to complete a job, over the quality of the job.

    Advice to Management

More attention to detail. Often there will be demands on a job, but without the insight as to what it will take to complete the demands.

    Pros

Plenty of Perks if you like to spend 60-80 hrs a week on the grind.
    Owners are Great People.

    Cons

Lack of Training, although if you are sharp enough you have plenty of opportunities learn from some of the best and move on.

Very Competitive Environment Between Company Peers.

    Advice to Management

None. Just as every company grows as fast as they did, there always going to be a jagged learning curve.
