    Pros

Typically, part-time associates would work 15-20 hours in this location; in this position, one worked 25 hours steadily which allowed for a good work/life balance and to personally continue a job search for full-time work.

    Cons

Receiving was heavily micromanaged in this location, to the extent of having to drop primary tasks for certain managers and later be disciplined by others for not getting work done. Managers talked down to employees and seldom considered their prior experiences or education as the store has a somewhat high turnover rate. Very high to borderline undeliverable expectations for part-time work (5hr period) which was truly just opening boxes, pricetagging, and staging merchandise as three-to-four persons were expected to process hundreds of cartons of merchandise at two-minutes/carton, even if there were multiple smaller cartons inside. Employees were fearful and bitter of management and the store, and pretty stressed. It did not need to be driven by stress; however my experience at BBB was exactly that.

    Advice to Management

    Breathe; invest in employees

  2. Overall a strong retail environment to learn
