I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond

Pros

Love the dress code, flexibility and customer interactions.

Cons

Downsides, the store managers have no idea what they are doing and refused to take responsibility for their actions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's a good transitional job. Not permanent

I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond

    Pros

If you enjoy the products, this could possibly be considered a pro. Also, it helps if you enjoy repetitive, mindless work.

    Cons

Closing shift means leaving at 2am. Terrible training. No guidance was provided. Awful music playing at all times. Cash register design totally illogical.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer better, more thorough, practical training. Redesign your cash registers. Offer new employees more guidance, less corporate indoctrination. Change the music up!

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond

    Pros

Bed bath and beyond offers a decent benefits package, especially the insurance. The dress code is very casual and they are more often than not to work with you if you need some time off. The incentive program they have is quite nice also.

    Cons

Unfortunately, many of the managers are overworked due to understaffing and unrealistic expectatiions. The companies culture focuses only on the negative and you will be lucky to hear a thank you from someone higher than stroe level management. Staying late and coming in early is the expectation, and be prepared for the look if you dare to leave on time. There are more dog and pony shows in this company than the animal planet channel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your people from the newest part time employee on up. If you want to continue to offer excellent customer service then you must remember that you have to keep your employees happy. Most of all learn to say thank you. It goes a long way or does not cost anything.
