I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond full-time (less than a year)

Pros

-You were able to negotiate desired hourly wage.
-Fun employees
-Gave a lot of hours

Cons

-Some of the customers were a-holes and would fight you for coupons
-The customers would bring in old items or items we never sold in the store, to try and get money back.
-Cashiers had to stand in front of their registers like puppies (even if the store was empty) to wait for the customers to check out.

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Freedom to merchandise, freedom to lead your team, freedom to do whats best for the customer, career advancement can be quick if you apply yourself.

    Cons

The qty of district staff can be overwhelming at times, to many chiefs with their own focus.

I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Depending on the size store you work for management can be very friendly or very demanding. In my time with the company I worked at a C sized store and an A+ size store. At the C sized store my managers were very friendly and flexible as I was also a full time college student at the time.

    Cons

At the A+ sized store time was money and I was frequently yelled at even though I had been busting my hum p the entire day. I was often kept extremely late every night of the week until the store looked perfect which was usually around 1am - 3am (even though I was scheduled until 11pm). Also if you are not comfortable on ladders this is not the job for you, you will be expected to climb up and down ladders as often as a roofer would.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Relax on your hourly workers, yes they are the bottom of the rung but they are also what keeps the store in good shape and if you expect top level customer service then you should give some time to provide it.
