Good work life balance in "certain" parts of the company but don't expect to get rich anytime soon

I have been working at Bell Canada full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

There is a lot of "baggage" in the company so it is easy to shine among the baggage without working too hard. The key is to align yourself with the right organization and managers. Don't go into something that could be outsourced or it will happen to you.

    Cons

There is very little incentive to work really hard. The company has no intention of retaining top talent as salary is capped and high positions are not worth the incremental pay given the additional amount of headache. The company has the mindset a new grad make half as much as you who produces less than you is good enough to survive given the savings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cutting people without fixing the process leads to more work and stress on the workers who remain which will make them leave given the fixed compensation ceiling. Stop measuring yourself again the other service providers and look higher if you want to keep top talent
