I worked at Bell Mobility as an intern for less than a year

Pros

All working staff act professionally and are great people to network with.
The working environment is extremely good. There are little to none working politics involved which is great motivator.

Cons

Bell Mobility needs to develop more social programs where employees can contribute and give back to the community in social events such as blood drive and more.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keeping passionate employees motivated will always boost productivity.

A good place to start, but compensation is lacking and perks are disappearing bit by bit.

I have been working at Bell Mobility full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay for entry level and sales jobs can pay quite well. Good work life balance, if you have the right manager. Excellent benefits and very generous vacation allowance.

    Cons

Salary is based on at target earnings. When targets are raised the commission per sale decreases; if your target goes up 20% you must increase your sales volume 20% to make the same compensation as before. In order to hit numbers reps are often pushed into morally grey areas by managers who will deny any involvement if the rep is ever investigated.

Career advancement is something that is always promised, but never delivered. You will have higher level positions dangled in front of you, but they will have already pre-selected the candidate they want to hire; they only go through the motions of posting it to make it appear that there are opportunities.

Used to have an unlimited cell phone plan, but now it has a data cap and new hires don't get this perk anymore.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you bite the hand that feeds you by cutting your salespeople's compensation don't be surprised when they leave to work for your competitors and bring your customers with them!

Great work life balance. Tons to learn. Excellent people.

Slow pace. Limited growth. All the problems with a big company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should encourage the younger crowd more to take leadership roles.
