In North Carolina it was awesome. When I transferred, it was horrible.

Pros

Great people, including the owners and upper management. Benefits are good, a lot of room for advancement within the company.

Cons

As with most property management companies, they count pennies. They will definitely try to pay you as little as possible.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just dont forget how important the little things are to both the people working in the leasing office and the residents who are renting from you.

    Pros

Overall, I think that this would be a very good company to work for, as long as you had a good manager. The company benefits are GREAT, the training is comprehensive and according to their core values, they seem to respect their employees.

    Cons

Sometimes bad employees are often times allowed to slip through the cracks at the expense of
    good employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think that Senior Management should be more involved and open the doors to communicate more with the little guys - and make them feel comfortable and like it's okay to move up the chain of command when their immediate supervisor or manager isn't playing by the rules.

    Pros

If you're willing to work at it and can maneuver the politics, you can build some decent skills and make contacts, but don't lose sight that this is a stepping stone.

    Cons

The most unprofessional company I've ever worked for - many suffer from big-fish-in-a-small-pond mentality. Communication is nearly non-existent; accountability does not exist above the level of hourly-employees; senior leadership is apathetic at best, incompetent at worst; important conflicts of interest exist that would not be permitted at a publicly traded company; tribal knowledge is guarded at the silo level and never shared.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The world is changing - it's time to start taking your company seriously. Clean house and bring in some professionals.
