Professional but cold and unprofessional upper management

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Dallas, TX

ProsGreat office. Free soda/coffee. Fairly good balance work/life, i.e. not a lot of after hour requests. The company is doing really well.

ConsI was a contractor there so the comments are from that perspective. There was very clear distinction between contractors and employees. Nobody cared about the contractors and they were treated coldly. People don't go out to lunch often and when they take you out, nobody ever offered to pay, even when they said they are taking you out for lunch. People don't socialize after work and are very territorial. Management seems nice but I have seen them yelling at contractors in front of everyone for small mistakes, very unprofessional.

Advice to Senior ManagementRespect your employees.
Understand the true workload, if you don't need contractors, don't hire them and pay them to sit around, it is bad for both you and them.
Know your staff, they might be good but not necessarily the best in the game. Therefore being territorial will end up hurting you in the long run.
