Pros

- good level of camaraderie with employees of similar level
- personalities tended to be helpful more often than not

Cons

- career paths are very regimented
- lots of redtape to get things done but this is more typical of the industry than any singular company

Advice to ManagementAdvice

- find ways to identify and nurture top talent early

    Decent pay
    Bonuses
    Good location - close to lots of Uptown restaurants

    Cons

    Paralegals have to bill their time
    Long hours, long days - weekend work
    A partner who screams and is often condescending
    Not a fun place to work
    High turnover

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The grass is definitely greener in other Dallas firms with an immigration practice.

    Pros

    -Smart co-workers (some, not all)
    -Great learning opportunity if placed on the right cluster and right attorney (direct manager)

    Cons

    -Bureaucracy
    -Office politics
    -Lack of enforcement on cumbersome management rules

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You know, we work with salary data all day long. We know we are being underpaid. People stay there until they find the next better thing. Is that what work environment should aspire to be? Think not.
