    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I worked at Best Buy Canada full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits - Med/Dent and of course employee discounts Enjoyable work environment - on-site cafeteria and gym facilities Many good people, great mix Company events

    Cons

Limited movement upwards - most Directors/VP's have been with company 12+ years with no intentions of moving, bit of an 'old boys club' at this level and up. Being retail - constant promotions to prepare for, non-stop and tight deadlines

    Advice to Management

Look at your senior leaders and the movement out of people that reported to them, is there a trend? Since many came from the old days of Future Shop they sometimes fall back on the old ways. Update and automate your inventory systems, should not be so labour intensive.

    Pros

The people you work with are usually the only reason to stay there.

    Cons

Micromanaged. Cookie cutter style. Uneducated employees, including supervisors.

    Advice to Management

Hire the right people to be managers & keep them under a microscope.
