  1. Great Values, that don't trickle down into the stores

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

The company core values are awesome and everything Best Buy stands for is great. I've been in a thriving store where managers were on the same hype as corporate. But once that management team was split up, the chemistry changed in the store.

    Cons

Sometimes promotions are based on who you a friends with as opposed to the talent you bring to the table.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. Don't forget that without every single employee in the store you cannot do your job as well. Appreciate every employee and what they have to offer. Managers get great bonuses, while the line level employees get your hollering when you don't.

  2. The pay was great!

    Pros

Nationally known brand. Guests come to you for advice. Good pay. Great (playful) competition! The break room was epic; DirecTV, huge couch, & candy (for those REALLY long nights)!

    Cons

Lack of leadership. Long hours. The upper management doesn't communicate at all. It gets very political. Promotion does tend to be according to who you know and not how qualified you are.
