Great HS or college gig, but past that: not so much

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsDecent options for those attending high school or college with fairly flexible shifts; co-workers can be fun when you get a stable team

ConsPay and benefits aren't that great for part-timers (just stock options and 401K; no tuition reimbursement, health benefits, or paid time off); discounts used to be decent for the amount of pay, but now there are better bargains to be had elsewhere. The company made some sharp changes last year, but said that "everything was fine"; now, advancement looks to be a bit shaky for the changes to organizational structure taking place

Advice to Senior ManagementTransparency would be a great thing to have when dealing with employees and the public alike. When major changes are being made such as the shuttering of stores and employees losing their jobs, the time frame for implementing such change should not be a month. In today's job market finding a new job is not an easy thing. With giving those who had to lose their jobs so little time to prepare for what was coming, it places them at a very unfair disadvantage because they need to get over the shock and awe of losing their job while looking for something new. Suffice it to say, that is not an easy task.
