Pros

High focus on employee development. Peer group is engaged and great to work with. A great place to develop and institute new ideas for process improvement, employee recognition, and other business ideas.

Cons

Management can be out of touch sometimes. High turnover in leadership causes supervisors to bear a heavier workload.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time engaging employees and supervisors, don't ignore the work/life balance of supervisors.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is a fair pay and bonus scale. Best Buy put's A LOT of emphasis on training (they will be training 55,000 employees by November 8 hours a day for 4 days) and are they are constantly adapting to changing conditions. They have started to realize what they are doing wrong and that the customer needs to come first, and are finally changing their business model to achieve this goal.

    Cons

too much focus on numbers and not enough focus on customer satisfaction. Breaks are almost non existent and lunches only happen if you work 7 1/2 or more therefore they often schedule you for 7 hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It should be all about the customers then numbers, not all about the numbers then customers
