I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Friendly employees and management and they really attempt to put you in the right place in the store. I know that other Best Buys are different.

Cons

Customers could be a pain, but you deal with that at all retail positions. Also, having to sell credit cards as though my life depended on it was what made me quit.

Advice to Management

Credit card and Black Tie pressure is too much.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people you work with are fun and friendly. Co workers became my best friends. Discount is OK and flexible hours.

    Cons

The structure is always changing and you never know when positions are going to be eliminated. Try out all different kinds of new services that they use a few months then throw out. A lot of favoritisim shown by managers. Training is no longer valid because they are spreading out employees to different areas in store.

    Advice to Management

People do not like change. Pick one structure and stick with it.
