Pros

Overall fun place to work, great discounts on products and competitive pay for what is expected of you. Ability to interact with vendors and understand the business fully.

Cons

Constant changes from upper management and staying on top of changes from each cellular carrier, not to lose profits on the back end.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to work on a transparent approach of relaying information company wide.

    Pros

    Non-management are generally awesome.
    Discount is above average.

    Cons

Favoritism is rampant; Promotions are anything but merit based.
Hours are flexible, but supervisors and management rarely respect requests off or availability.
Work load is incredibly stressful in Geek Squad; Supervisors are encouraged to dodge work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop promoting people from outside their respective departments to other departments.
Higher morale will lead to higher sales; "Monopoly money" reward system is insulting.
Geek Squad / Customer Service merger was the worse direction to take either department in.
BBY.com search engine is famously bad. How can you compete with eBay/Amazon if people can't find anything on the site?

Nice Discount, Decent Starting Wage. Don't expect miracles, because this is a retail job. But it can be what you make of it. Be respectful of the customers, sell them only what they need. You'll be ac

    Cons

Holiday Season can wear you down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some younger associates need serious development in how to talk to customers. They seem to talk to their cusotmers the way they talk to their friends, and some customers clearly find this off-putting.
