I have been working at Best Buy full-time for more than a year

Pros

This is one of the only very few jobs that is willing to work with your school schedule. They have great benefits for full timers and also now implementing better benefits for their part timers as well. Of course the discount is a plus and also the bonuses that the whole store is apart of now. Great job overall.

Cons

You lose many of your holidays. It is hard to go on vacation during holiday season. Have to work long hours during the holiday season as well.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would not hurt to be more caring towards your employees.

    Be aware that friendship and the good ole boy network exists in your stores. Managers should embrace new ideas and by willing to take the criticism they hand out. Stop supporting mediocrity, and really look at the potential of each employee. Happy employees make productive workers. People should not be constantly under threat of losing their job.

    I worked at Best Buy part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Friendly and positive managers and co-workers. They respect you and care about you. They let me leave for an internship and when I returned I got my job back.

    Cons

    Some of the required materials you have to sell are ridiculous. They threatened our jobs if we didn't reach a certain number of credit card apps. Store is noisy alarms go off constantly. Customers are idiots that think they're geniuses.
