Cons

Overall, about what you would expect from a retail electronics company. The patience of everyone around you, including management, is tested on a semi-regular basis with regards to customer traffic and conflict. Also, the holiday times are a bit intense as expected.

Listen to feedback from part-time employees; their opinions are important as well.

    I have been working at Best Buy

    Pros

    Fun product, good employee atmosphere, good upward mobility and pay if you are willing to move. You get to work with some really fun products and gain great sales/customer service experience. Perfect job for young adult or college student

    Cons

    minimal raises for regular sales employees after many years.Pay is not great until you reach supervisor or management level. Too much responsibility for on the sales team to produce with little compensation. Difficult to get promoted within your own store. If you want to make a career of it, move to a city where there are multiple stores so you can move up faster.

    Other employees that don't learn the policies we have can cause a lot of customer confusion.
