I have been working at Best Buy full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits. People you work with are usually like family.

    Cons

Company sometimes gets caught up in trying to make all the stores the same to improve customer experience, which keeps the stores from being able to cater to the needs of their local clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more trust in the hands of local management who understands the stores needs, stop micromanaging.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Base pay is decent, paid training, working with other technology fans, getting to know about future devices and prices, the discount, uniform was free.

    Cons

Rude customers who think they know everything, no commission on sales, demanding supervisors and managers (you're never good enough for them), hard to switch stores/departments, and more...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize that we can't meet your expectations every single day. Some days we have 30 customers an hour, some we have 3. Some we don't have any customers for a few hours.
