I have been working at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company seems like it cares - send employees to induction training (multiple depending on position) If you like commission based sales, this can be the place for you. There is no direct commission, but team based commission. So the entire store will either bonus together or no one will bonus at all. It prevents employees from "stealing" sales from others or being "sales vultures". With the right sales team, this is a very fun environment, and as an entry level job you can make a decent amount of money. If you are willing to learn, Best Buy makes it very simple to perform your job at a high level, even without much prior experience.

    Cons

SAS Best Buy Mobile stores are still a not widely known commodity, so when located next to our competitors, Verizon, AT&T, etc, it may be difficult to draw customers in certain locations. Mostly because a lot of people don't realize what Best Buy Mobile is. So it can get frustrating when customer say they'd rather go to the carrier store, just because. Upper management is unaware of everyday life at the store level (or they just don't care). Many of the upper management, DMs, etc., have never been Sales Consultants. They sit at home and watch what you are doing inside of the stores through live feeds and call the manager to give directions from hundreds of miles away.

    Advice to Management

Take more time appreciate employees who can really make a difference in your company, instead of forcing them out of the door, then having to replace them, which must cost the company a lot of money.
