Best Buy – “Decent place for part time work.”

Pros

The discount is amazing. The price of goods that an employee pays is 5% more than what Best Buy purchased it for. These leaves for some HUGE discounts in products related to car stereo, televisions, and computer accessories. Anything that Best Buy makes alot of money off of basically.

Cons

For the majority, it's a dead end job. A lot of part timers and students work at this store so employee bonds are quickly made and broken. I also felt that sometimes it was some of the "loudest" not neccessarily most qualified workers that would get promoted to management position. It's all really dependent on who your store managers are really.

Advice to Senior Management

Respect your employers, no matter how insignificant their job is.
Also, hounding people for sales so that you may go to the conference where managers get free stuff does not inspire work
