Best Buy – “Make sure it's just a stop along the way”

Pros

The Discount is killer. I'll buy my accessories here because a $100 HDMI cable costs employees $5, but major products does not have much markup (so buy those elsewhere)...Fellow employees can be cool to hangout/BS with during the day but it all depends on the store and how chill the managers are...The only advantage to being a low level employee is that when it hits the fan and the store doesn't make numbers, its managers who get it before line levels do, my store went through several managers after several months of poor performance.

Cons

It is most certainly like a high school with petty nonsense constantly going on...Management does most certainly play favorites and you just need to learn its an unfortunate part of the job.

Advice to Senior Management

Cut out the favoritism and allow those who want to advance the ability to easily move along in the company. When there's less nonsense, there's more productivity.
