I have been working at Best Buy part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good Discount on most things. Management is very flexible and is always looking to coach, train and help in any way possible (most of the time). Fun/low risk environment.

    Cons

If it isn't holiday season, and you aren't full time, don't expect a lot of hours. Although we receive bonuses based on group performance, it still isn't much. For the amount of time and effort departments like mobile, computers, HT, Mag etc... put in, in terms of selling the latest devices as well as accessory attachments and protection, it's unfair to not receive any type of commission for that hard work. That would keep us motivated, if we made commission, I wouldn't consider another job any time soon.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the good work up guys, but honestly we put in a lot of time and effort and should be rewarded more than the minimal bonus that we earn.

I worked at Best Buy part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great Employee Discount on most items in store.
Hands on with new technology & devices before most.
Best Buy Credit Card is a great value when combined with the employee discount.

    Cons

    Self important management
Constant Employee, Manager, GM, even CEO turnover results in inconsistent SOP's
Extended holiday hours infringe on work/life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At least pretend to care about your employees

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
