Best Buy is good when just getting out of high school, but do not expect a career from this company.

Decent start to gain management experience when young and without a family

I worked at Best Buy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Solid company to work for when young and out of college. If looking to go into retail management, expect the job to take up 90% of your time. Off days are not your own and in order to be considered for advancement you have to put in the hours (10+hours/day, 6 days/week during holiday, including conf. calls/ meetings on your day/s off). When young and without family responsibility, it can be a good start to gain management experience. Not a wise career choice if you have a family. Too many work/life conflicts.

    Cons

Work/life balance & rotating schedule- but that is par for the course with any retail job. Other than that pretty decent company, pays their employees well and offers lots of bonus/perks for recognition.
