no training, pay is a bit over min wage, management doesn't even know half the company policies ect ect

    Pros

    If you are a business major and want to learn about the inner working of a major fortune 500 company then Best Buy is for you. They are forthcoming and transparent on how they run their entity.

    Cons

    It is a challenging environment as far as discrimination, inappropriate relationships and in certain locations women may find themselves not being valued.

    Advice to Management

    Create an environment where women are comfortable and encouraged to grow professionally. Stop the social promotions.

    Pros

    Flexible Schedule. Most of the staff was friendly. You do get to work with all the new technologies coming out. It's retail... that is the best I can say about retail.

    Cons

    Corporate appears to be dysfunctional. Upper management was awful. It didn't matter about the products you were only to sell Branded Payment options ie. their Best Buy Credit Card. If you could sell that and the Geek Squad services you were ok. Literally management didn't care about anything else.

    Advice to Management

    Start looking for another job your business model will eventually fail.
