    Pros

People are great. Discount is nice.

    Cons

Management doesn't know what they are doing most of the time. They don't promote from the talent in their own store.

    Advice to Management

Pay better and promote your people.

    Pros

Well you get to work at a fun organization where you can learn about many new technologies. The employee discount was always a benefit and no matter what your role was, your focus was customer care and asset management. You were constantly trained via Best Buy online training modules, so you were well informed about new processes as they related to your specific department and Best Buy as a whole.

    Cons

During my time with Best Buy, the biggest suggestion I could provide to leadership is get to know your staff. If you have a FT Technical Support Analyst in Loss Prevention working PT...it might be a better way for Best Buy to utilize that technologist natural skill-set. Leadership may want to take advantage of a resource like that. It could serve both the company and the employee if that individual was better utilized as a Geek Squad member or someone who worked in the Computer Department.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your FT and PT staff are in areas best suited for their strengths. Avoid plugging people in a position to fill a need.
