Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take more time in learning about the employees desire to grow with the company, and help them reach that goal.
Product knowledge needs to become as much as a priority as sales training.
Keep a stable business structure so employees WANT to grow the company.

    I worked at Best Buy

    Pros

Good discount, decent hourly pay, good team environment, and okay management.

    Cons

No commission for what is sold, minimum availability is hard with another full time job, don't staff enough during the day. Sometimes management thinks its so easy to sell other services along with the product to customers who really do not want them. They expect you to meet certain metrics and sometimes you don't even meet them every day per month. You might meet 5 days out of the month for your metrics and what do you get? Nothing. You really have to sell a lot in order to get something.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give a little better pay to sales guys or give them commission or reward them better than just points for them to get crappy merchandise.
