I have been working at Best Buy part-time (less than a year)

Pros

Employee discounts, it is very large on best buy's brand names.
Coworkers were pleasant and I always had a good time at work.

Cons

At my location management was very bad. The general manager played favorites which made it hard for him to see how some of the other employees were actually performing their jobs. Never get a raise!

I worked at Best Buy part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The employee discount is great. You can get $25 phone chargers for like $4 because employees only pay 5% above the cost that Best Buy bought it for. AKA, very little markup. Doesn't work for laptops, desktops, consoles, and some tvs though, just because Best Buy uses rebates to get those prices lower for the customers. Moving up the ladder seems to be an option for most people.

    Cons

Working as a cashier is boring. Working in customer service is aggravating. The sales floor is more fun, but the pay isn't good enough to make this job worth it. I always had trouble getting the hours I wanted, also.

    Pros

Awesome experience, always around the newest technology. Pay is good and it's not a hard job at all.

    Cons

Training, managers aren't the nicest of people, not much room for growth in the company, scheduling isn't really all that flexible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try a little bit harder to train your employees, shoving them out on the floor by themselves after a few online test and videos isn't proper AT ALL.
