Pros

I really can't think of a single Pro.

Cons

1. Inconsistent operation of Hotels.
2. Poor Leadership - All hotels independently Owned/Operated
3. No benefits of any kind
4. Best Western International does not support hotels - Worldwide sales does nothing to help.
5. Poor branding - General public has no idea what the difference is between BW, BW Plus & Premier.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

David Kong & board members need needs to know what is going on with the hotel brand/chain. Over all David is doing a good job - For what this brand is.

I worked at Best Western full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The place was fun to work at. One's co-workers almost became family. I still keep in touch with many people who work (for over 30 years) or worked there over the years. One was rewarded well for good work performance.

    Cons

The pay was somewhat low at entry level positions but there was upward mobility if one was patient. There was also shift work as the call center was a 24/7 operation. This could be difficult if one could not be flexible with their working hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look for the under achievers with high morale and a desire to learn. They can eventually become valuable and long lasting employees.

I worked at Best Western full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay and thats about it.

    Cons

Bad Management, poor organization, backs clients over employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a hard look at the staff and reward the hard workers, and clean out the lazy workers. There are way to many bad employees than good and they end up driving off the ones who get things done.
