Pros

The work hours are good, and you stay up on what's going on in the business scene in your local area. You do have the opportunity to help bring attention to good ethical businesses, and help consumers at the same time.

Cons

The BBB system can seem a bit dysfunctional. Making any changes for the better can be a bit like pulling teeth. Too many of the people seem content to become a dinosaur. The pay at a small bureau can be pretty miserable.

Advice to Management

I worked at Better Business Bureaus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team The president is down to earth Casual environment Good hours Everyone has positive attitudes Unlimited coffee Clean and comfortable office

    Cons

The only con that I had found is that there is not a lot of room for promotion within a branch

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

  2. Great Company, but....

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Flexible schedule, half day Friday, family atmosphere, secure work/parking.

    Cons

Salary is way below average for the work required. It's hard to imagine that an experienced sales rep makes a lower base salary(draw) than an employee at a fast food restaurant.

    Advice to Management

Put more focus into building/strengthening the business development department which is responsible for the overall growth of the company. The most successful sales organizations offer a salary plus commission unless the product is so receptive that a customer is literally beating down the door to get it.
