I have been working at BevMo full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Pay is acceptable and benefits decent.

Cons

I have worked for many companies in my career. i feel that this is a very unhappy and hostile work enviroment. People in the corporate office are not friendly or respectful including senior management who sets the tone.

A lot of office politics and gossip. I try to stay above the 'BS' and just do my job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look around the office and you will see unhappy employees. The corporate office has a high turnover rate because of the horrible office culture. Worst place I have ever worked.

Current Employee - Head Clerk in Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at BevMo part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Learning about wine, beer and spirits. Access to some good internal and external tastings.

    Cons

The only positions that have more than 25 hours a week are the Store & Assistant Managers. The other members of the management team are basically screwed into working 5 days a week for 20-25 hours. The regular associates are lucky to get that many hours and are paid just above minimum wages regardless of being just a cashier or a "valued" sales associate with real knowledge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It really isnt their fault, these problems are at every store and come from the higher level management.
