I have been working at Bharat Heavy Electricals

    Pros

It teaches very good technical knowledge of power plant commissioning and its operation since power plant is currently the fast growing industry in India so work as much as anybody can and learn as much as anybody can learn. Learning is best way of earning since it offer very handsome salary so money crisis is hard for anyone to see.
Not only the technical knowledge but management skill also sharpen since dealing with lots of people on daily basis working with them in a project make a person grow not only in technical basis but also his/her personality and management skill.

    Cons

Some of the posting places are worse to live in since the are located in remote area.
Lack of good facility of hospital.

I have been working at Bharat Heavy Electricals

    Pros

flexibility in chosing the type of work. Co operation of senior management. reasonably good salaries and perks. overall a good organisation of good repute

    Cons

time managment is not very good. project management and timely deliveries is quite unsatisfactory in BHEL.Deployment of correct persons at correct places needs to be effected. Promotion policy and transfer policy needs to be properly defined.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Strong market intelligence and strong project management groups need to be established urgently.Additional Incetives/ penalities need to be established on specific task allocated. New technologies/ diversification to be looked at the highest level as early as possible.
