I have been working at Big Fish Games full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Enthusiastic team atmosphere where the featured product is games. There are Razor scooters to use in the office for getting quickly from one office to the next.

Cons

Constantly changing priorities; the management shows pretty significant favoritism towards those considered part of the "inner sanctum" - the rest of the employees are treated differently. After 10 years, still have not figured out how to add more vacation time for people that have been at the company longer than a couple of years, nor do they have any sort of standard bonus system.

I worked at Big Fish Games full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Read the title, the folks at BFG are top notch. Smart management. Smart, caring, and passionate co-workers. Best company parties/events of any company. Great products.

    Cons

Low wages compared to comparable, Seattle area employees. Org chart is flat = not a lot of opportunity to move up. Best way to move up at BFG is to work at Microsoft/Amazon for 5 years... lots of open senior positions seemed to be hired form outside, instead of inside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadshiper development. Create programs that allow top talent to grow with the company. Hire for potential, not just the skill set you need right at the moment.

I have been working at Big Fish Games full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Reliable company, people are very friendly people, somewhat lax environment.
Professional employees, with a large number of years of experience doing their craft.

    Cons

It can be noisy sometimes, and location kind of sucks for lunch food options.
