Awful mid-level managers - fire people for no valid reason. Agree with other reviews.

Pros

Pittsburgh office is great location - but they only lease the building. Could easily be closed if cost cutting continues.

Cons

Human Resources not helpful to employees - cut throat politics with jobs on the line. Women managers are power hungry and only look out for other women.

Advice to Management

Remember that Karma is real, as you "use" people to get to the top. Embrace diversity in thought and work styles vs. rewarding those who kiss a** the best.

    Pros

    Location
    Openness to work remotely
    Great Pet Products portfolio

    Cons

KKR broke the company into pieces back in the 80's (RJR Nabisco). Now they're back to break it again
Lack of innovative, think out of the "can" mentality
Employee Morale at the lowest possible level

    Advice to Management

No help here. New owners (or sponsors) are only interested on increasing brand awareness to then sell the Del Monte brand to the highest bidder.
