Pros

Ruby on rails, java, and modern practices. Great engineer team.

Cons

Too much risk and security required for any type of work. Marketing and CS could use a lot of work.

Advice to Management

Make it feel more startup and less like a huge corporation.

    Pros

Visionary Leadership, Ryan Gilbert is impressive! Sound product (SmartPay), Intelligent colleagues, Immediate medical benefits upon hire, email address, business cards, electronic equipment provided within first two weeks of employment, HQ provided free lunches weekly and a break room fully stocked with food very fun "start up" environment in the office ( which I was not a part of in the Field.) Independence in the field, no tracking, mileage covered, expenses such as hosted lunches and coffee paid for.

    Cons

Worst Senior Management EVER. Job drastically changed from signing within weeks. Was assured that there was no Outside Sales Cold Calling and role was account maintenance for one product, within weeks that went out the window. Compensation assurances during negotiation not honored, make sure to get everything in writing. Senior Field Sales Management dismissive, curt, short abrasive. Constant shifts in priority and sales initiatives, with launches of new products.

    Advice to Management

Treat your Field Sales Managers with some kindness, fulfill your promises, don't mislead potential employees, Design compensation resolution guidelines for partnering vendors. Product and market testing for new ventures can be appropriate, but not at the same time of complete product and system redesign for a product that has little traction already. Its okay to ask for the impossible, but not 5 impossible things at the same time.
