Pros

Pros to this place would only be the 20 paid-time off (PTO) days. It's better than your standard 2 weeks vacation and 5-8 sick days like most places since you could ideally use all 20 days for a long vacation or sick leave. Depending on who you report to, you would be able to use PTO on short notice if need be.

Cons

1. The atmosphere of the company culture runs top down, so they makes sure you understand who is senior management and who is allowed to think for themselves. Otherwise, do not try to think independently. Do as you are told.
2. Most people are miserable there, just doing enough to stay under the radar and avoid unfavorable attention.
3. There is no "one team umbrella" company wide, but rather the individual departments akin to silos. So meetings are typically held under the guise of action planning/problem solving, but in reality, they are turf wars with plenty finger pointing.
4. There are many inefficient processes that need obvious improvement, but they believe to group-think, hold the line of "we've always done it this way" dearly and are unwilling to improve or adapt.

So if you want to be just a cog in the big machine, then this is the place for you.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take off the rose-colored glasses and get a pulse of what is really going on within the company. If they would allow employees to complete a survey with complete anonymity, perhaps the company could actually listen to employee suggestions and improve! Senior management needs to simply value the input of people beyond their titles.

    Pros

They are not micromanagers. Everyone is easy to get along with. Works with several pharm companies which give you good experience

    Cons

Too many meetings.. Not enough room for advancement opportunities. Deals only with imaging aspects of clinical trials in the Newtown office.

I have been working at BioClinica full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The company has grown ridiculously fast through acquisitions and mergers and there are more opportunities to move within the company than there used to be. New CEO just started and seems to be a good addition. Coworkers are friendly, and hard working, and there are still company events like holiday parties and summer outtings where you can bring your family. Many of my co-workers started in entry level positions and have been promoted or transferred to different roles over the years. Depending on what group you work in there is flexibility on working from home. Benefits are good too; lots of time off!

    Cons

Turnover has been higher than in the past, probably because of the uncertainty that comes with mergers/acquisitions. The company is trying to replace people quickly, but it does put a lot of stress on the remaining staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slow down on acquisitions! Employees feel unsettled and need to understand the direction the company is headed in. Hopefully the new CEO will help with this and get things back to normal.
