    Pros

    its a very flexible place to work.. great for college kids or moms who need a job while there kids are at school.

    Cons

    major holidays are mandatory, it you are unable to work on mothers days, fathers day, thanksgiving, or valentines day don't apply. These are northridge's most busy holidays other holidays are not mandatory but may be required. Another con would be the fact that it is very hard to become anything more then a hostess or a server.. If you would like to become a manager you have to talk to the district manager. And its very hard to go from there.. so if you are looking for advancement, not the place you you either.

    Listen to your trusted employees, they have good ideas and you should have a semi annual meeting to see how anything may be improved.

    Pros

    Good place to get your foot in the door, If you want to be a food server

    Cons

    Being a server is very hard work, especially at corp. places from black Angus to carrows. The food is way below the standards of what it was a decade ago and I find it to be at par with frozen food. They are constantly short on things that are vital to do your job correctly (such as spoons) which means you either learn to cut corners VERY quick, or you fail. You can make 80-120 on avg good night and 50-70 on a slow avg night working 5 hours. I'm in California so i get 8+tips so that breaks down to about 20 an hour. Decent money, but I will never work there again. The jobs is extremely stressful and the job experience is almost useless. Don't waste your time at a chain, look for small family places. The less servers the place has, the better.

    Stop relying on coupons to bring back business. The reputation the company once held is lost, gone with the quality food.
