“BlackRock is a good, stable employer, but not extraordinary.”
I have been working at BlackRock
Pros – Vacation time and other benefits are above average, strong career growth opportunities overall, promotion from within is encouraged, work-life balance is better than industry standard.
Cons – Limited professional opportunities outside of major sites (ie -NYC, London, San Francisco), bonuses are far less generous than what was advertised by HR recruiters.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat employees at BlackRock as well as Investors are treated. Encourage recognition for jobs well done, as praise can be limited.
