I have been working at Blackbaud (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    They do actually pay me

    Cons

Long hours in a high pressure and highly dysfunctional environment. Despite what they claim in their mission statement, it is profits first and foremost, not people nad certainly not the non-profits they claim to serve. Constant shrink in benefits Too many semi to non-technical managers, not enough technical people More interested in selling new features or products than producing good products Really poor teamwork

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better Treat the non-profits better

I worked at Blackbaud as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Structured internship. Real project with real deliverables. Management was very friendly and approachable. Beautiful office in Charleston, SC. Team-oriented atmosphere.

    Cons

Company doesn't have a formal hiring process to discuss full-time opportunities with interns entering their last year of school (undergrad or grad). It would be great to be able to land a full-time position in the fall following the internship, as that is when many other companies hire.
