    Pros

Have been with Blackstone 4+ years and during that time I've had the opportunity to work with some of the most intelligent, humble and driven people in my career. There are a lot of positive things about this company, not least of which is the work hard / play hard culture that is driven all the way from the top.

There are many moments throughout the workday when laughter is heard in the hallways and offices, and you can see people genuinely enjoying themselves and the company of their colleagues. Each Friday afternoon everyone in the office grabs a cold beer from the kitchen and spends a few minutes getting to know each other a bit better. All this "play" is balanced with a very focused and deliberate work ethic and consistent desire to be a little bit better than we were the day before, both collectively and as individual professionals.

The CEO, President are also very approachable and humble. The organization rewards dedication and loyalty, and promotes collaboration by finding creative ways to align incentives accordingly. All in all, if you are willing to work hard, want to be around great people who can provide you with a terrific platform to establish or grow your career and professional network, there are a lot worse places to be than Blackstone.

    Cons

Some may prefer a big company culture, abundant resources and rigid / established processes. At a company this size, you need to be comfortable with being in the driver's seat for you own career, be prepared to be creative when faced with challenges and roll up your sleeves to become part of the solution, and ultimately feel at ease navigating and building relationships in a fairly flat and open organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing - leading by example and emphasizing culture, integrity, honesty, professionalism and a strong work ethic as core common values.
