I have been working at Bloomingdale's (more than an year)

Pros

upscale store brings upscale customers
working in a large dept. store is great for networking
friendly co-workers
some opportunities to serve the community

Cons

pay is not great
they will take advantage.. ie: giving you a full-time schedule, while not giving you full-time status- so you don't get the benefits
lack of support
it's all about the money- not exactly what is best for the employees
loyalty program still has a lot of kinks

Advice to ManagementAdvice

care more about the people working for you. it could be a great place to work if you took care of your employees
