Former Employee – worked at Blount International as a contractor for more than a year
Pros – They give free bagels and bananas
Cons – Too many chiefs, not enough Indians
Advice to Senior Management – Make sure your Directors are not micro managing staff, allow them to communicate freely and not be so paranoid when their team is trying to ressolve issues. Hire experienced staff, and put the kabash on Managers and staff making fun of others in the work place who have physical impairments. Make sure your Management team knows not to swear at other staff members and belittle them in front of others. When someone in the department makes a mistake it should be a learning experience, one particular Manager sends e-mails to everyone letting them know you have made a mistake, too much backstabbing. Lastly, the training program really is terrible for new hires, and hiring interns doesn't help in getting work done right.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
