I have been working at Blue Buffalo part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Once you set your schedule, you are pretty much set for the month. Unlike other pet food reps, the stores you work in remain consistent. Pay is good for the retail environment, and it is lots of fun to interact with pets and their pet parents.

    Cons

Limited training. Interest in the products varies by location, so some stores may be more challenging than others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more coupons for the customers and come up with something better than the pet food rebate for employees. Competing pet food companies offer a lot of coupons and free stuff to their reps as incentive. As Blue becomes more established, maybe they can too.

I have been working at Blue Buffalo for more than a year

    Pros

Quality of nutritional research and subsequent quality of end product, the food is top notch. Truly a leader in Pet healthy feeding.Great customer interaction from retail to corporate.

    Cons

At times the growth of company allows corporate to lag in maintaining great employee and customer communication. Promises made should be promises kept in a timely fashion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote from within, and look for those that have "special" skills in client interaction.
