Challenging environment that is ever-changing and provides tremendous professional growth opportunity.

Because it's a large company, sometimes there are challenges in getting things done - having to go through a lot of different departments to implement change, etc.

Keep doing what you're doing to make this a great place to work that also provides the work/life balance that we need in order to be able to put our families first.

    Pros

    BCBSLA is committed to their employees. This is an attitude that starts at the top and is evident everywhere. The company offers amazing benefits, an employee caferteria, an on-site gym and the list goes on and on. There is always an event that employees can participate in and there is a true sense of community at the campus.

    Cons

    The departments can be a bit isolated from one another. This is to be expected, given the size of the company. It can be difficult to figure out where to go when you need something, but everyone is friendly and always willing to direct you to the right department or person.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better utilization of the IT resources available would be helpful. Customizing the accounting software to truly meet the users needs is vital.

    It was the worst job that I ever had. Management is very poor.

    Pros

    Blue Cross offers great Benefits, flexible hours, extensive Training

    Cons

    Management is very poor, & don't know or try to learn the work
     Manager & Supervisor retaliate if you ask questions in meeting.
    Human Resources don't help in any way if you have a problem with management.
    Put negative things in your file six months after you resign.
    Doesn't care much about their employees
    Not much room for advancement unless you know someone

    Management needs additional training on their work & how to treat their employees
    Management needs to learn how to communicate with employees
    Management shouldn't retaliate if you disagree with them
    Management should follow policies & procedures
