Pros

If you were looking for a laid-back job where you can "phone it in" then this is a good choice. It is very easy to blend into the scenery.

Cons

No respect for ideas that didnt come from long-term management. No way to move promising employees ahead in organization. Complete lack of planning on everything.

Advice to Management

Respect Employees in mid management and below. Just because you founded the company doesn't mean you are always right. Horrible retention.

Might want to consider Amazon instead given hours worked, commute, and time spent around work.

    Pros

Health benefits are fairly good. Stock options can be useless depending on when you're hired due to peak seasons. Pretty laid back place as a software engineer.

    Cons

Management tends to be deceitful. Expected of engineers to work more than 40 hours a week. Project definitions are generally very vague. No documentation for existing systems. Turn over is very high in most departments.

    Advice to Management

    Employee retention.

Great business model and successful company, but has some growing up to do before it can be called a great place to work

    Pros

Relatively small size provides great learning opportunities and access to senior management; great business model and place in the industry that's relatively insulated should provide good (but not great) financial performance over the next few years; solid benefits such as 100% employer-provided health insurance and generous stock options

    Cons

Inflexible and somewhat arrogant senior management has led to high levels of employee attrition; more political than a company that size should be; compensation not as high as competitors which hurts when stock options are underwater

    Advice to Management

Provide better system for recognizing and retaining star performers; be more open-minded when employees express different viewpoints from your own
