Pros

Some friendly people, opportunity to be creative,

Cons

Poor talent/succession planning, some upper management wouldn't even speak to managers and other staff, managers had to function in a cubicle which was unacceptable for appointments with direct reports

Advice to Management

Walk around and say hello to managers and other once every few months! It sometimes felt like high school there since senior management viewed some employees as the in-group and some the out-group.

    Pros

There are a lot of good, hard working people here. Good salaries, 401K, pension.

    Cons

A new C-suite took over in January, though it feels like no one is at the helm. Poor direction, lots of churn. Disappointingly, medical insurance coverage for its own employees is very expensive. This company spends too much money outsourcing to external companies that it should be doing itself, only to poor results.

    Advice to Management

Ask the hard questions. Actually do something effective without wasting any more money on outside consultants. Also, note that top talent is leaving.

    Pros

Good location close to nice restaurants, shopping, museums, etc.
    Free flu shots
Easy access to BART, Transbay Bus Terminal and Ferries

    Cons

Unhealthy work environment in terms of support and career advancement
Management will give lots of praise and assurances of your value to company, but do nothing to support your career advancement

    Advice to Management

Value employees that work hard and deliver on work that promotes company profitability instead of promoting only their managers.
