Pros

Company does not keep the usual "watchful eye". Phone, email, internet, printing, etc.

Cons

No loyalty and will terminate with no valid reasons other than lack of sales.

I have been working at BlueLinx

    Pros

The hours are reasonable and there is an emphasis on maintaining life outside of work.
The benefits are fair and there is a very friendly and familiar atmosphere.

    Cons

Opportunities to advance seem somewhat limited. Advanced degrees are not necessary nor are they encouraged. The business model seems dated and moderately unstable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Development doesn't seem to be a key concern amongst middle management. Senior management needs to be more involved with hiring, recruiting, and development amongst sales people.
