Company needs to stop running like a startup

Software Engineer (Former Employee) Menlo Park, CA

Pros-Recreational rooms for breaks and drinks
-Company hosts trips and events
-Helpful / knowledgeable colleagues

Cons-Badly needs a development process
-CTO changes product requirements on a whim

Advice to Senior ManagementThe CTO and upper management needs to get their requirements ready before handing out the task to the developers. I know this is not uncommon, but not making the architecture flexible enough the first time just decreases the maintainability for future changes in the system. A lot of hours are wasted doing things that were not even considered.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Pros: Loads of experienced people to learn from esp. the CTO/ director of engineering The high level of management will evaluate your interest and distribute the… Cons: No process No organized workflow Fast deliverables No work time scheduled, during release , you have to work for 14 hours straight. Team leads do not know how… Advice to Senior Management: Please hire someone who is technically sound team lead, so that it may not lead to other engineers quitting the team.
