Bob Evans – “Good food, good discounts, bad experience.”
Pros
Definitely the 50% discount on food purchases while on the clock. I was able to eat good meals during my break and make a few extra bucks as a part time holiday worker.
Cons
Often times you are asked to do things outside of your role. For instance, I was hired as a Waitress, but never received adequate training as the others did. So, I became their slave, cleaning tables, working as hostess, working the registers, washing dishes, busing tables, taking out the trash, you name it I did it. This meant that I was able to adapt well to all situations and was a valuable asset, however, it offered me no stability or certainty of what I might do from one day to the next.
Advice to Senior Management
Always offer adequate training for all of your employees so they can confidently work the job they were hired for instead of being mediocre at everything.
