Pros

People are passionate about their work. Plenty of opportunity for promotion. Very organized and stable company, extremely cautious about hiring and firing.

Compensation could be better. Other than that, it is a great company to work for.

I worked at Boehringer Ingelheim full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You should be able to build a solid repertoire of working with lots of different types of analytical chemistry equipment and a wide variety of testing assays.

    Cons

Low pay, no opportunity for advancement, constantly conflicting policies from different managers, no real training for the equipment, everyone wants to be FDA compliant but no-one can agree on what that means.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the hostile, fear based environment. Set uniform policies that apply to everyone regardless of status, and stop giving the favorites special treatment. Get rid of excessive and redundant SOP's: streamline and consolidate the SOP's. Start doing the right thing, and not just what keeps you in power and everyone under you in fear.
