Good resume builder and starting point, but not good for career progression and upward mobility.

I have been working at Boeing

Pros

Benefits package is good, educational opportunities are still better than the alternative, but need to be revamped due to the impending exodus of younger employees.

Cons

Huge generational and cultural gap that will be the demise of the company. The bureaucracy makes it impossible to get work done.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward employees for a job well done. Currently employees are not acknowledged for the good work they do and salaries/raises are determined on a tenure basis, not a performance basis.

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to work on interesting projects.

    Cons

Old technology favored, stagnant work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and look around. The work force is aging and they are doing nothing to entice younger engineers to stay with the company.

I have been working at Boeing

    Pros

40 hour work weeks create good work/life balance; flexible work schedules and paid overtime are nice perks. Benefits are very good.

    Cons

Benefits are very good, but not good enough to make up for lack of competitive salary and potential for promotions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Streamline management and organization structure. There are far too many levels of management and no clear results. Promotion is given because of HR standards rather than personal achievement.
